Arnarlax is the leading farmer and producer of Icelandic salmon, based in the beautyful Westfords of Iceland. Our headquarters are in Bíldudalur, but we also have sites in Tálknarfjörður and Patreksfjörður.

Mechanic in our factory in Bíldudalur

Requirements

  • Education in the field of motor technology or engine practice is preferable (not required)
  • Experience in PLC
  • Experience in operating fish processing machinery
  • Knowledge of electricity
  • Initiative, planning skills and ambition

Biologist in fish farming in Arnarfjörður, Tálknafjörður and Patreksfjörður. We seek a newly graduated person, interested in fish farming.

Requirements

  • University degree in biology
  • Interest in fish farming and fish welfare
  • Considerable computer skills and fluency in English
  • Planning and communication skills
  • Initiative and ambition

Main tasks

  • Supervision of biological aspects of the fish farming
  • Maintenance of certifications in collaboration with our Quality Manager
  • Fish health, communication with veterinarian
  • Registration of findings and reports
  • Assistance regarding passing on information to monitoring institutions
  • Other occasional tasks

Smolt farming employee in Tálknafjörður

Requirements

  • Education in the field of fish farming is preferable (not required)
  • Planning and communication skills
  • Interest in fish farming and fish welfare
  • Initiative and ambition
  • Must be able to do back up duty

Main tasks

  • Feeding and daily supervision
  • Other occasional tasks

Employees with a ship handling or marine engineering license

Requirements

  • Ship handling/marine engineering license

  • Shift work, 7-day sequences 7 days off

Main tasks

  • Various tasks out on the fjords, including daily supervision of marine pens, feeding barges, equipment of boats and barges and other occasional tasks of our sea department.
