Technical Expert Aquaculture

Due to an increasing demand for Linde’s solutions within aquaculture resulting into a fast-growing project portfolio, we are now looking for new colleagues for our global aquaculture team. The vacant position will be in located Norway at our Global Aquaculture Innovation Centre. The purpose of the position is to drive and support aquaculture projects globally with our latest applications in close cooperation with our sales engineers. The position also includes development of new products and processes used in aquaculture for oxygenation in land based and offshore systems.

You will be a member of the global aquaculture team with colleagues in Germany, Norway, US and China. As part of this team, you will be cooperating with colleagues from engineering, workshops, sales and marketing. We are running development projects at our Global Aquaculture Innovation Centre in Ålesund, Norway and in our lab facilities in Munich, Germany. In Ålesund we have a team of experts all dedicated to aquaculture and applications, supporting projects both locally and globally. With our developments we have the passion to excel, and we enjoy innovating for our customers.

Your workplace will be at the Linde Global Aquaculture Innovation Centre in Ålesund, Norway.

Main responsibilities:

• Cooperate with regional Application Sales Engineers and external partners in commercialization existing and new gas applications
  
• Drive and support development projects and implementation of new products at customers
• Design and commission Linde applications for large scale aquaculture installations
• Coordinate technical specifications with global and local engineering teams
• Follow up fabricators of Linde aquaculture applications and hardware, review production and implement improvements
• Improve and rationalize process of customizing aquaculture installations

Qualifications:

• You have bachelor or Master’s in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  
• Experience in experimental set ups and measuring devices and the use of CAD-tools is required as well as experience from the aquaculture industry, ideally with RAS systems
• You have experience from the aquaculture industry and project management experience
• It would be an advantage with experience from fluid mechanics and mass transfer
• You should preferably have experience with automatization (PLC systems) and knowledge in use of CAD (e. g. Inventor)
• A good knowledge both in written and spoken Norwegian and English is required for this role
