Supply Chain Manager for the new sales company in Eide Group

The new sales company in Eide Group is a 3rd generation family-owned company. Food production in the sea has always been, and still is, the life of the Eide Family. We are based in western Norway, yet predominantly reach an international seafood market. 

The position

As our Supply Chain Manager, you will be the bridge between our fish farms, our sales departments, our business partners and customers. You will be responsible for the value chain from the storage cages to the process area, supporting the logistics and product allocation area to the final market. In this, you will work closely with the production and sales areas, with the task of maximising the return of raw material for the entire company.  

Our main market is currently Europe, yet we wish to grow and expand in the years to come. You will lead the daily supply chain operations. Simultaneously you will play a key role in developing the supply chain further as we expand. We are currently bringing our first brand to market, which means the role as supply chain manager will be crucial for our success.

Main tasks and responsibilities include:

• Manage daily supply chain operations, and responsible for order fulfilments
  
• Propose and implement improvement measures to the supply chain
  
• Building structures for new efficient, safe, and economical supply chains
  
• Negotiations with current and new suppliers and partners
  
• Provide and manage necessary documentation throughout the supply chain
  
• Ensuring a well-coordinated process from harvest to the end customer, ensuring good workflow with our third parties’ processors
  
• Assist in logistics for trade events and other marketing initiatives
  
• Quality assurance throughout the supply chain
• Management towards local authorities and regulators

This is a full-time position, with a flexible workplace. In the role you will be travelling to our processors partners in Europe and Norway, as well as to our logistic platforms and/or to assist in important clients meetings where your input is required. As supply chain manager you will report to CEO in Eide Fjordbruk Sondre Eide. 

Job requirements and qualifications

Qualifications for the role are:

• Relevant higher education
  
• Some years of experience from working with supply chain management, preferably within the fresh goods industry
  
• Interest and passion for sustainability and healthy food production
  
• Language skills: English is required, and it is positive if you know Norwegian

Relevant experience can compensate for education

Providing fresh food is a time-sensitive business. Therefore, it is important that you are always flexible and available through the week, in case unexpected situations require us to change our supply plans at short notice.
