Salten Aqua AS was founded in 2000 by three fish farming companies and consists of owners and subsidiaries. The owners have extensive experience from breeding and share equal values in terms of quality of work and production. The companies in the Salten Aqua Group together constitute a fully-fledged value chain for the production and sale of salmon.

Local owners :  Gildeskål Forskningstasjon AS, Edelfarm AS og Wenberg Fiskeoppdrett AS.

Subsidiaries : Salten Smolt AS, Salten N950 AS, Polar Quality AS, Salten Salmon AS and Salten Laks AS.

We are expanding our team

We are searching for someone with sales experience in our industry. The person we are looking for is ready for new challenges and possesses knowledge about our product. Our customers are both Norwegian and international, and the position requires a good deal of travelling both in Europe and elsewhere around the world. Since you will be expected to travel regularly, your office may be located wherever is best suited for you.

As Senior Sales Manager- VAP you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands our company’s customer base and ensures a strong market presence. Responsible for successfully launching our brands into new markets.
  • Identifying and following up significant business opportunities with a key focus on maximizing sales potential and brand recognition.
  • Understanding potential needs and preferences in the market.
  • Managing relationships with existing strategic partners and mobilising mutual profitability growth.
  • Working together with the production management team to ensure and maintain clear communication, so that customers’ expectations are met.

Skills and qualities 

  • You have sales experience from our industry, with a proven track record.
  • Knowledge and experience from the salmon industry, and a pre-existing relationship with vendors and seafood distributors.
  • You are able to form long-term relationships with customers.
  • Experience from working with brand awareness
  • You have the ability to create value for customers combined with business acumen. Ability to multi-task, take initiative, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
  • You know how to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
  • You are able to convey ideas effectively, getting into the hearts and minds of your audience.
  • Proficient in essential computer job functions (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) as well as ability to learn required programs.
