Researcher Salmonid Nutrition

Are you passionate about advancing the understanding of salmonid nutrition and contributing to sustainable aquaculture practices? Skretting Aquaculture Innovation (AI) is currently looking for a Researcher in salmonid nutrition with an innovative mindset and sound collaborative skills for a long-term temporary assignment.

As a Researcher in Skretting AI you'll have the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of fish nutrition, conduct innovative research, and make meaningful contributions to the aquaculture industry. You will be a key player in the development of nutritional solutions for salmonids for our fast growing aquafeed operations world-wide.

What are your key accountabilities

• Planning, coordination and execution of research studies related to nutrition
  
• Develop and facilitate research of nutritional solutions
  
• Provide technical support on fish/shrimp issues to our operating companies
• Management of collaborative projects with internal and external partners
• Communication of results and findings to our key stakeholders; assist in implementation of innovations

What we ask

• PhD or equivalent in fish nutrition or other relevant area (or MSc with minimum 3 years relevant experience)
  
• Background from research or commercial farming of fish is an advantage
  
• Experience from laboratory work, diagnostics and field sampling will be valued
  
• Competence of experimental design of fish/shrimp trials and proficiency in statistics.
  
• Network of scientific partners is an advantage
