As a researcher in AquaGen, you will make vital contributions to the year-round delivery of high-quality salmon and trout eggs, containing the best-performing genetics in the world.

AquaGen group has over 300 employees in Norway, Chile, and the UK. The main office is located in Trondheim, Norway. As a researcher in AquaGen you will be part of a group of 20 specialists within the fields of animal breeding, genomics, reproduction, and cybernetics, but you will also be collaborating with personnel from all parts of our value chain.

About the position

As a researcher in reproduction you will help AquaGen produce  eggs of high quality at all times of the year. With us, your competence, experience and ideas will be translated into real value for the aquaculture industry, as well as for society and the environment.

Preferred qualifications

  • PhD in fish biology, reproductive biology, aquaculture, or a related field
  • Expert on reproductive biology in fish
  • Good analytical skills
  • A good communicator that can collaborate across the different teams in our value chain  
  • Excellent in spoken and written English. Norwegian and/or Spanish will be beneficial
  • The opportunity to visit our production facilities in Norway and abroad
