Regional Manager Sea

We are seeking an experienced Regional Manager to lead our production in one of our two production regions on the East coast of Iceland. As the Regional Manager, you will be in charge of our salmon farming operations in three production areas with a total of 10 sea sites of which half in operation, and approximately 25 000 tons of license volume. You will stive to ensure operational excellence and good fish welfare in close collaboration with our other departments. The position requires a strong blend of operational expertise, leadership, and strategic vision to further develop our operations and support our strategy of producing the best salmon in the world.

You will be situated at one of Kaldvik locations on the East of Iceland, in or between Seyðisfjörður in the north and Djúpivogur in the south. The position will include travelling to our production sites and other relevant meetings. You report to the Production Manager for our sea operations.

Icelandic professionals are encouraged to apply, but also other nationalities will be considered. Training will be supported for unexperienced applicants with the right background. The company language is English, but skills in Icelandic and Norwegian are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operational aspects of our sea-based salmon farming in one production region with a total license volume of approximately 25 000 tons of license volume.
• Personnel responsibility where you will lead and guide a team of operational staff, providing mentorship, training, and support to elevate the department's performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Follow-up Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) to safeguard the well-being of employees, contractors, visitors, and the surrounding environment that we work in, and promote a culture of safety.
• Follow-up and reporting of relevant production data.
• Ensure optimal utilization of available resources in the region.
• Budget and result responsibility.
• Responsible for production planning.
• Maintain good dialogue with authorities and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.

• Good collaboration and communication skills
