Mowi’s Global R&D and Technical Department seeks a Project Manager Seawater Technology
We are currently looking for a truly passionate and technically skilled person who wants to play a key role in our company. As Project Manager Technology, you will be working in the interplay between technology, biology and sustainability, participating in and leading key projects that will ensure improved biology and an even more environmentally sound way of creating the fantastic product that is Atlantic salmon. You are highly dedicated, passionate and self-going. You thrive both in solitary work and through working in multi-disciplinary teams. You focus on the solution, not the problem, and are able to carry out systematic work seen through to conclusion, where you are confident in your ability to extract the essence in every project and sharing it within a large company in the form of sound best practice recommendations.
Your key responsibilities will include project planning and management, including trial- and/or product design, budgeting, sampling, coordination and execution of field work, analyses of results and dissemination of findings in the form of best practice recommendations. We also want you to be able to provide technical support to operational units in Mowi, especially in matters of production technology, environment and sustainability.
We are looking for a candidate with higher education in technological and/or biological sciences, and our preferred candidate has a keen interest in environment and sustainability. Experience or formal competence with environmental technology would be an advantage. We hope that you have experience from working in aquaculture and/or marine sciences, and experience with national or international R&D funding programs would also be advantageous.
We offer a position where you have the chance to bring about meaningful improvement in one of the largest seafood companies in the world, and as such the potential to have a truly significant impact on the prospects of increasing food production in the ocean. This is at the very core of Leading the Blue Revolution; a vision which we hope that you share with us.
The position will be based in Bergen. Willingness to travel is a pre-requisite as the position will serve and lead projects in the entire Mowi Group. If you have any questions about the position, please contact Group Manager Seawater and Open Production; Henrik Trengereid (email@example.com).
