Operative Sales Director

Star Seafood AS, established in 2018, is an exporter of salmon and trout. We are a rapidly growing company that in 2022 had a turnover of NOK 1.6 billion. Our offices are located in the fishing towns of Måløy and Bergen. The company collaborates with fish farms situated from the north to the south along the Norwegian coastline.

The team interacts daily with our suppliers, transporters and customers in Norway and internationally in a highly dynamic industry where things happen quickly, and adaptability is crucial for a good outcome. Competence, decision-making ability, accuracy, and a high degree of willingness to provide service are valued in our organization.

Star Seafood is a rapidly growing company with a dedicated team of experienced and passionate people. We specialize in exporting fresh, frozen and value-added Norwegian salmon and trout.

We take pride in listening and understanding our customers to better fulfill their unique needs and supply the expected quality for each delivery. To keep growing and to live up to this, we are now seeking an Operative Sales Director to lead our Star sales team.

Are you our next Operative Sales Director?

Main tasks and responsibilities as an Operative Sales Manager will be:

  • Leading sales and motivating the sales team
  • Sales of our products and Key Account Management
  • Building, developing and maintaining strong customer relations
  • Customer and market analysis as well as decision making in what strategy to apply for each segment
  • Staying updated on market dynamics and prices 
  • Working with the company's sales and marketing strategy, and exploring new business opportunities
  • Participation in market activities, trade shows and client visits

You can work from our office in Måløy or in Bergen, but preferably in Måløy where our head office are situated.

We hope you have:

  • Experience in sales from the seafood industry or other relevant sales experience with documented results
  • Leading sales team experience
  • Completed relevant higher education. Extended experience can compensate for the lack of education
  • Good Norwegian and English skills, both written and oral
  • Willingness to travel when needed and flexible working hours
