In Aquaculture we design and engineer structures for exposed and open seas fish farming and deliver projects through our yards.

We educate and drive lessons learned from operational phase into technology -, concepts - and project execution environment.

Our Aquaculture division, located in Fornebu, is now looking for a Net Designer.

Office location in Norway can be agreed and facilitated on individual basis.

What will you be doing?

• Responsible for early phase and conceptional net designs hence;
  
• Net Design & interface
• Crowding arrangements
• Drawings and descriptions
• Evaluation and selection of materials
• Input to Technical specifications for Net Systems
• Close collaboration with Marine and Net Analyses, Structural and Marine Systems
• Net design responsible for vendor contacts and studies
• Follow up on design, fabrication and installation activities together with vendors
• Participate in complex and exciting studies and projects

We think you should have:

• Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience from fish farming and net design/technology
  
• Experience from design of nets including net materials and strengthening ropes
• Practical experience or understanding of manufacturing and assembly/installation of nets
• Experience with 2D and 3D drawings for NetDesign and Interface is an advantage
• Understanding and capabilities with net analysis is an advantage, but not a requirement
• Multidiscipline skills will be an advantage, especially material technology. Interest and experience within fish farming systems and marine technology is an advantage
• Ability to work independently and breakdown complex work into manageable tasks
• Solutioneer – constantly looking for solutions and improvements
