Hav Line Gruppen AS, headquartered in Bergen, has developed the world's largest floating slaughterhouse. This is an environmentally friendly and efficient alternative for slaughtering, packing and transporting salmon and trout that ensures high quality of the product. Hav Line picks up the fish with the state-of-the-art and hybrid slaughter vessel, Norwegian Gannet, slaughters the fish directly from the fish farm and transports the fish by sea to facilities on land. Norwegian Gannet can harvest between 85-100 tons per hour. The slaughter vessel has a capacity of 1100 tons of HOG fish per load. Hav Line also operates a slaughter and packaging plant of 8000m2 in Hirtshals, Denmark. This plant can sort up to 240 fish / min. Collectively, the Hav Line Group slaughters, sorts, packages and distributes the salmon and trout for fish farmers and exporters.
