Key Account Manager

Grieg Seafood as one of the world’s leading salmon farming companies with farming operations in Norway and Canada is targeting 120 000 – 135 000 tonnes of harvest in 2026. Grieg Seafood Sales is a fully integrated part of the value chain, responsible for value adding, marketing, sales and distribution of all salmon produced by our farming colleagues in Finnmark and Rogaland. The sales organization’s key objective is to supply the most healthy and sustainable seafood to our customers around the world. To achieve our goals, Grieg Seafood is looking for experienced -and commercially minded persons to fill the role of Key Account Managers in the newly developed sales organization in Grieg Seafood.

For the right candidate there are opportunities for extended responsibility - this can be discussed in closer detail. The sales organization is still in a development process.

You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with existing -and new customers, connecting with important business executives and stakeholders. You will be our link between the customers and our cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our product according to our customers’ needs.

The position will report to the Team Leader and to fill the role you should have a proven sales record, the ability to manage key customers and actively seek new business opportunities. You must also be goal oriented and have a drive to achieve the company’s objectives for sales, profit- and growth.

Main responsibilities in the role includes but are not limited to:

  • Increase profit and volume in the European market for whole and value-added products
  • Create and develop profitable customers and identify any new business opportunities for GSF in Europe
  • Engage in strategic customer partnerships
  • Planning and executing an effective plan to cover the area of responsibility
  • Monitor the market- and provide an ongoing competitor analysis.
  • Close cooperation with other units of the group and participate in team meetings on a regular basis

About You:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role in the seafood industry
  • Knowledge and experience from the seafood business is an advantage
  • Result-driven and self-motivated.
  • Ability to influence, build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Commercial drive and motivation to develop new business opportunities
  • Strong presentation, negotiations -and communications skills
  • Creative mindset and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a structured way
  • Strong personal computing skills, including MS Office suite
  • Ability to learn and develop to continuously improve the way we work
  • Good command of English and other languages
