Head of Sales Europe – North Sea Seafood

Beskrivelse av arbeidsgiver

North Sea Seafood is based in Bergen, Norway, and is a fourth-generation family-owned business with over 100 years of experience in the seafood industry.

The company was officially established as North Sea Seafood AS in 2011, building on a proud family tradition that began in 1909 with the first exports of smoked and salted salmon to the United States.

Today, North Sea Seafood is one of the leading exporters of premium seafood sourced from the cold, pristine waters of the North Sea. We work closely and directly with local fish farms, processing facilities, and fishing vessels along the Norwegian coastline to deliver top-quality seafood to customers around the world.

Looking for a role where you can shape strategy, grow markets, and leave a lasting mark on a company that’s scaling fast?

North Sea Seafood is a fourth-generation family-owned company based in Bergen, with over 100 years of experience in the seafood industry. Since 2011, we’ve grown rapidly — from NOK 1 billion in turnover in 2020 to more than NOK 3 billion in 2024 — driven by strong partnerships and a relentless commercial mindset.

We’re now looking for a Head of Sales Europe – a commercially driven leader who knows the seafood market, understands the dynamics of whole fish sales, and is ready to take ownership of key European customers. You’ll be hands-on from day one, with room to shape your role and real influence on the company’s next chapter.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Leading and motivating the sales team
  • Direct sales of our products and hands-on Key Account Management
  • Building, developing and maintaining strong long-term customer relationships
  • Market and customer analysis, and making strategic decisions for each market segment
  • Staying on top of price developments and overall market dynamics
  • Working with the company’s overall sales and marketing strategy, and exploring new business opportunities
  • Representing the company at client meetings, trade shows and other market activities
  • This role reports directly to the COO

What we’re looking for:

  • A commercially driven sales professional with proven experience in the seafood industry
  • You’ve worked closely with European markets and understand how to win and retain key accounts
  • You’re analytical, structured and capable of making strategic decisions
  • You’re hands-on, but also ready to take a leadership role and help lift the entire sales function
  • You thrive in a dynamic environment and are motivated by growth, autonomy, and opportunity
  • You speak English fluently; additional European languages are a plus

Why North Sea Seafood?

  • We’re not a large, corporate machine – and we’re not trying to be. What we offer is something different:
  • Real ownership of your work – and the ability to shape the future of our European sales
  • The chance to work closely with experienced operators who move fast and think long-term
  • An organisation with energy, strong values, and solid supplier relationships
  • A flat structure, direct communication, and minimal bureaucracy
  • Competitive base salary + performance-based bonus

You’ll be part of a team that values hard work, initiative and shared success – and that knows how to celebrate wins together, whether it’s on a customer trip, a company retreat or around the lunch table.

This is a demanding but rewarding role for the right person. You’ll be joining a company in transformation – still growing, still hungry, and ready to take the next step.
