We are building a new technological production department to cover areas such as sustainability, R&D and fish health/welfare, as well as activities within feed and procurement. The department will also be responsible for the functional networks Sustainability, Fish Health, Freshwater, Seawater, Primary Processing, Feed, Procurement, and QA. The department will work with new technological solutions to reduce our footprint, improve fish health and automate production efficiency in fish farming. To accomplish our goals, Grieg Seafood must strengthen the organization with new competence.
We are looking for an experienced R&D Manager to be a part of our new technological production department. The Global R&D Manager will be responsible for all R&D activities internally as well as maintaining contact with external research institutions and other relevant external forums. The R&D department will focus on coordination and follow-up of R&D activities throughout the Group, to ensure implementation and best practice between the regions, and to make sure that the company has access to the latest research results and knowledge. As Global R&D Manager you will work closely with the different regions and the team in the technical department to develop the company’s R&D strategy .
Main responsibilities in the role includes but are not limited to:
Relevant candidates have higher relevant education and minimum 10 years of experience within the field. You have solid experience from innovation and – development, and you have worked with project management in organizations. Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset will be considered an advantage. As a leader you communicate well at all levels, you are confident and trustworthy in implementing change processes and you have a good business understanding. Our R&D manager is structured with a solid ability to implement and perform.
As R&D Manager in Grieg Seafood, you will work in a growing, global company, with opportunities for personal development. The role will be central to the further development of Grieg Seafood and is located at the Head Office in Bergen.
