We are building a new technological production department to cover areas such as sustainability, R&D and fish health/welfare, as well as activities within feed and procurement. The department will also be responsible for the functional networks Sustainability, Fish Health, Freshwater, Seawater, Primary Processing, Feed, Procurement, and QA. The department will work with new technological solutions to reduce our footprint, improve fish health and automate production efficiency in fish farming. To accomplish our goals, Grieg Seafood must strengthen the organization with new competence.
We are looking for a QA Manager with high competence in quality systems and regulations to establish quality assurance procedures and methodologies throughout the manufacturing and development processes in Grieg Seafood. As QA-manager in Grieg Seafood you will be responsible for assessing the current production- and inspection systems, identifying opportunities to improve productivity and develop new solutions to enhance quality control. This includes taking an active and hands-on role in implementing the right quality solutions for cost-saving and efficiency-enhancing both in quality assurance procedures and production activities as a whole. You will work closely with the technological production department as well as with the production managers and other leaders to establish and improve these procedures. The role requires a high degree of structure to successfully direct and oversee all quality assurance procedures and coordinate production processes.
Responsibilities in the position will be:
Candidates have higher relevant education and experience from the field. You have a solid foundation within quality assurance and you quickly understand production processes in order to develop improved and effective procedures. You have knowhow of standards for development and production and preferably experience from process improvement and enhancement. Candidates have experience from senior positions in the field of quality, development, project management and/or customer relationships. A high level of attention to detail as well as the ability to lead teams is imperative. You have the ability to work in a matrix organization internationally and collaborate well across different cultures. Good presentation and communication skills in Norwegian and English is a prerequisite.
As Global QA Manager in Grieg Seafood, you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in a business-critical area and to contribute to develop and professionalize the company. The role will be central in contributing to innovative solutions to make the company relevant in the future. The Global QA manager will be located at the Head Office in Bergen.
